“What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment
that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.”
Karl Lagerfeld
When I was a teenager my parents gave me a little Brownie camera for
Christmas and a camera has never been far away. To me the above quote
says it all for me.
Winter into spring

Our Laval grandchildren here and at their home. The girls stay still long enough to get a photo of them but their brother moves around or acts silly so few shots of him.
My two housemates needed an afternoon nap. Maybe Granddad needs his own dolly :D
On the way in Summer

The pile of wood and stones DDO picked up and tomatoes/lettuce started from seed. The tomatoes were slices of chunks of tomatoes planted in pots and as they came up were thinned out. I worked well so plan to start some earlier in 2017.

The front porch before work started. Brandy our Little Red Riding Hood . Our son the ocean fisherman

Brandy feeling the need to cuddle with her toy.
The gate and fence built on side of house and the arbor from front side entrance was moved to back.

When Jared was here
And for the last part of our year
Walking along a trail in the Morgan Arboretum on our St Anne's Day in September. After years of staying away, decided to check if the only wooded area within walking distance to us was still a great place to go to. And yes it is so we will be going back while it is there for us, (light rail train station and parking lot planned for the area). Checked out the trails in Centennial Park before the Elm Ramblers went for our first rambler in November. The November Super Moon.
we have few photos of our Nova Scotia grandchildren explaining why there are none of our eldest granddaughter - must rectify that in 2017... Sure you realize I have many more photos but what I have shared, (with some difficulty) should give you a overall view of our year.
“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so
gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt;
and perhaps it says ‘Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes
again.’”
―Lewis Carroll, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass
